Description of the Project
Vista Mar (Ocean view) is an Eco Residence Resort
Project designed to live in harmony with nature. The project’s 92
hectares are located in a plateau in Hacienda Vieja, Orotina, 30 kms west
of San Jose and 3 kms of Coast way Highway. Its elevation of 660 mts above
sea level, similar to that of Atenas, is considered by the National Geographic
Society as the best climate of the world. It has access to the best beaches
of the Pacific area. The Project will communicate with San Jose through
the new Ciudad Colon-Orotina highway, entering by Hacienda Vieja, Orotina.


Nature
There are three varieties of monkeys and a
large variety of wild fauna. The projects limits to the west with Pital Creek,
a source of life and freshness. A spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean can
be enjoyed from any location of the project. One can see to the south from
Punta Leona to Jicaral in the Nicoya Gulf. The west of San Jose is visible
to the north (Santa Ana and Ciudad Colon). San Pablo and San Pedro de Turrubares
and Puriscal are visible to the east. This project is unique for its climate,
mountains, jungles and view as well as its proximity to San Jose and the beaches
of the Pacific.

Location
The project limits to the south with
the Chompipe Biological Reserve, a protected primary forest of a 100 ha.,
and to the north, east and west with 37 hectares of primary forest which are
destined for recreation and provided with trails that facilitate the enjoyment
of nature.
Vista Mar has many trails into the
mountains and the forest and its crystalline waters. It is common to see toucans
and other species of birds as well as monkeys.
Project Layout
The first stage consists of 90 lots which are duly
registered as stand-alone properties and are not under any constraining regulation.
As of August, 2003, 20 lots have been already sold. The second stage will
be 20 lots with a minimum of 5000 square mts each.
These properties may double at least their value by
the completion of the Orotina-Ciudad Colon highway (by year-end 2006).
This project has all permits from environment regulating bodies as well as
from the County are in order.
